Bacterial: common organisms causing pneumonia (Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae), melioidosis, Legionellosis, plague, pertussis, diphtheria
Fungal: histoplasmosis
Medium (10–21 days) Viral: MERS, Nipah, hantavirus
Bacterial: pertussis, melioidosis
Fungal: histoplasmosis, coccidioidomycosis
Eosinophilic: ascariasis, hookworm, strongyloides, toxocariasis
Long (>21 days) Bacterial: Q fever, TB
Eosinophilic: schistosomiasis, hydatidosis, dirofilariasis, paragonomiasis, Wuchereia bancrofti, Brugia malayi
